Hello,

I am writing to express my concern for a Meet & Greet you are hosting this Friday with People’s Party of Canada candidate from Shediac, Nancy Mercier. Both Leader of PPC Maxime Bernier and Nancy Mercier both continually share inaccurate news on the climate catastrophe, encourage their members to speak out publicly against abortion and gender identity rights, and spout dangerous nationalist rhetoric that aligns with an alt-right political agenda.

I am your neighbour, and I am Queer. When voices like these are given platforms in my community I DO NOT FEEL SAFE OR WELCOME, nor do I feel like this community is a safe place for my customers, friends and family, both biological and chosen.

I encourage you to consider the implications of hosting such events. Events like this give voices to HATRED, BIGOTRY, AND VIOLENCE, and further the oppression and discrimination of marginalized people. By hosting such political ideologies in your establishment you are saying to me I am not welcome there, or in this town in general. This is not a message I would like associated with this town or my business.

Again, I would reconsider hosting this event and strongly think about cancelling. If not, you will definitely see my LOUD QUEER VOICE at your doorsteps Friday evening.

I am a NCA executive member in charge of candidate outreach.   The National Citizens Alliance has an organizational goal of 50 plus candidates for the upcoming federal election.   It is important we field as many candidates as possible because it helps with name recognition and allows our supporters to vote for us.   There are two avenues to become a NCA candidate:  regular candidate and paper candidate.   Fortunately, becoming a candidate in a federal election could not be easier. Imagine if when you file your individual T1 income tax return every year, you had to pay a tax on the income tax. Meaning let’s say you paid $5,000 of income tax and then the government added another tax called the “income tax tax” and charged an additional 10% tax on the actual income tax itself. So you would pay $5,000 of income tax, plus $500 of income tax tax. Can you imagine any Minister of Finance ever daring to try such an outrageous plan? Yet this is exactly the situation we have with the carbon tax and the GST/HST applying on the carbon tax. It is utterly outrageous!

via Maxime Bernier... This is just another vote-buying scheme for the Liberals, with no economic benefit for Canada. I understand the wish of immigrants to reunite with other family members, but the first objective of our immigration policy should be to fulfill the economic needs of our country.
In particular, our immigration policy should answer the needs of sectors where there is a scarcity of manpower with specialized skills; and in more general terms contribute to increasing the number of younger workers in a society that is fast aging.
A People's Party of Canada government will lower immigration levels, but also put more emphasis on economic immigration (skilled workers fulfilling our manpower needs) and reduce the categories of family reunification and refugees.
