Tara Armstrong MLA in B.C. on X - Tumbler Ridge massacre in B.C.

At this link on X with Tara Armstrong MLA in B.C.:

"The Tumbler Ridge massacre was politicized 10 years ago when the BC Liberals legislated SOGI into our schools. Yet today, the Left cries “politicization” to silence those forwarding policy solutions to fix the problem the Liberals and NDP created. The reason why police, politicians, and the media told us that the Tumbler Ridge murderer was a female is that they know transgender violence is real. And the reason they are telling us not to talk about the killer is because they don’t want to accept any responsibility for enabling his actions. For years, they’ve been pretending that a man can become a woman. They’ve told us to celebrate that. They’ve been giving youth drugs and surgeries that permanently alter their bodies and have even made it a literal crime to simply counsel struggling young people. These policies made it harder to treat mental illness and to institutionalize people posing a risk to themselves and others. Transgender self-harm is well known. Two-thirds of youth identifying as trans have other psychological conditions and about half have experienced suicidal thoughts. The risk of violence to others is real as well. In the last five years, there have been 12 school shootings in the United States and Canada where at least one person died. A male identifying as transgender was the killer in 4 of those 12. These statistics indicate that transgenders committed 33% of these deadly school shootings in the US and Canada despite making up about only 3% of the youth population. This pattern of transgender violence isn’t something that should be ignored, minimized, or obscured. Our nation is united in grief and solidarity. We all stand with the families in Tumbler Ridge. They have our complete love and support. And if we want to ensure nothing like this ever happens again, we must also be filled with resolve. We must tell the truth. Accept no lies. Have the difficult conversations we need to have to ensure that a devastating tragedy like this never occurs again. While the best time to start was yesterday, the next best time is today. Bad politics enabled this massacre, but good politics could have prevented it. After the 9/11 terrorist attacks, we instituted strict aviation security measures. After the École Polytechnique massacre, we instituted gun control. In the past, we’ve learned from tragic events and forwarded the necessary policies to prevent them from reoccurring. For Tumbler Ridge, that means repealing SOGI and prohibiting the administration of medical transitions on minors. The BC Government must offer more than condolences, but actionable policy measures to ensure these tragedies don’t repeat themselves. Together, we can say “never again” with Tumbler Ridge."

Sackville New Brunswick flies their progressive pride flag because..... why not? Who decides? The Town was renamed "Tantramar" and is home of Mount Allison University - Sackville N.B. was established in 1762... the University was established about 100 years or so later. Both Mount Allison University and Tantramar no longer use the platform X.. why? Megan Mitton Green MLA and Susan Holt Liberal Premier both have decided to no longer use the platform X... lack of transparency. Sad.
