Hailed as a harmless chemical that would prevent tooth decay, new evidence shows how fluoride could be linked to serious health problems.
Fluoridation was first advanced in the US at the end of the second World War. Proponents argued that fluoride in water and toothpaste would help to protect teeth and prevent decay. Over the following decades, fluoride was added to public water supplies across the country.
While the benefits of fluoridation have been held to be unquestionable, accumulating evidence points to a frightening prospect: that fluoride may have serious adverse health effects, including infant mortality, congenital defects and IQ.
Now a new book, titled “The Fluoride Deception” by Christopher Bryson examines the background of the fluoridation debate. According to Bryson, research challenging fluoride’s safety was either suppressed or not conducted in the first place. He says fluoridation is a triumph not of medical science but of US government spin.
- Christopher Bryson, has reported science news stories for many media outlets including the BBC, Christian Science Monitor and the Discovery Channel. He was part of an investigative team at Public Television that won a George Polk Award for “The Kwitny Report.”
Its been over 13 years since I began this health advocacy and activism to educate others in New Brunswick but surprisingly I have never been celebrated or acknowledged for my efforts .. ask why that is.. and you'll get the idea that there is a push against citizens who are informed from having a voice or any spotlight, praise or attention given to them.. and this is counter-productive and in fact will lead to more problems in the future if not addressed.. so where are the other mothers and fathers who are concerned in this esteemed old university town of Sackville New Brunswick? Why has this safety issue been suppressed and why was I labelled a "low class unimportant troublemaker" [according to long time town councillor Bruce Phinney]? I stuck my neck out and I have paid a price for doing the right thing in New Brunswick.
Education grassroots is key and it is an ongoing effort and I receive no funding whatsoever. I have never asked for a donation nor do I intend to do so.
As well.. "Climateering" is also a concern in our schools - infiltration by NGOs non-governmental organizations and non-profits who are propagandizing students with fear on the woes of "climate change" and harming their mental health must be stopped / halted in 2024.
Principal Ada Phinney Salem Elementary did the right thing in 2013 and I wish her another relaxing, rejuvenating summer vacation in 2024.
