Calgarians are being asked, no, brainwashed, to put a poisonous, highly contaminated Hydrofluorosilicic acid chemical mixture into their tap water because these misinformed dental and health "experts" believe that this type of fluoridation is a healthy alternative to health, teeth friendly diets and good oral health practices.
How idiotic can they be.
Seems they think that the Fluoride ion does nothing noxious to the human body - they are ignorant of basic chemistry and refuse to look at real evidence of harm: it's equivalent to the action of ingested Polonium but takes decades for its effects to be felt so that it can not be proven to have deleterious health effects.
It's a drug without a DIN; it's a water additive without Clinical trials and Toxicology studies; it's mass medication without medical supervision or follow-up, etc, etc.

Harvard reveals the impact of fluoride on neurological development of children

"The average loss of seven IQ points.* Some studies suggested that even slightly increased fluoride exposure could be toxic to the brain. Thus, children in high-fluoride areas had significantly lower IQ scores than those who lived in low-fluoride areas." Notice for Safe Water Halifax .. "Update: Dec 8/16 @ 6:00 is the Community Council for Harbour East at Alderney Landing. I will present these questions and findings from the Windsor Utilities Commission - I believe this is what we focus on. We need everyone involved - ask your city council member these questions.
The Windsor Utilities Commission (WUC), did an investigation to answer these 3 questions re: the chemical (Hydrofluorosilicic acid) we use for water fluoridation.
What is it? Where does it come from? Is it safe?

At a special public meeting on Feb. 29, 2012 they disclosed their findings.
They discovered that the product they use is not naturally occurring at all. Hydrofluorosilicic acid is, in fact, a byproduct of the phosphate fertilizer industry. It's illegal to dump anywhere in the environment because it's classified as hazardous waste, it would cost a lot to neutralize and dispose of it properly.
So it's sold to municipalities as a tooth medicine. It seems that this is a brilliant solution for industry's pollution.
The Canadian Environmental Protection Act classifies Hydrofluorosilicic acid as “persistent,” “bio-accumulative” and “toxic.”
WUC also reported that they could not find any studies to prove it's safety for human consumption or environmental integrity.
This is why they recommended to the city to stop adding it to our water, and the savings be directed to oral health and nutrition education in Windsor and Essex County for a period of 5 years. " big thanks to my girl Dana Landry.. of note Dieppe, Saint John and Moncton NB have all stopped fluoridation programmes... good luck to Halifax... over 250,000 people are affected by this programme.. it needs to be halted ... people deserve to drink safe, clean, toxin free city water that they are paying for.
